The Hugs & Hope Club for Sick Kids is an organization that is
dedicated to "Paying it Forward" through the many acts of
kindness committed by our hundreds of volunteers! Volunteers send
"happy mail" to featured children and their siblings, we
organize fun projects to involve families as well as volunteers, and
we support each other with e-mails and a chat group.
"The smile you send out returns to you" is a good quote that accurately describes the way our organization is run. Some of these children haven't smiled in weeks - then they get some mail and it just brightens them right up. What better reward than hearing from a parent that "YOUR" mail made that child happy? Many of the parents of featured children have joined our group as volunteers for that simple reason - to pay it forward.
