Hi,
I am 14 and have a pay it forward story. It happened about 9 years
ago. When I was in the first grade my elementary school had an idea
to collect soda tabs. They wanted to collect 1 million and cash them
in for money to donate to the children's cancer reasearch fund. So
that year they started collecting. I remember the days when me and
my classmates would bring bags of them in; sometimes buckets of them.
It took 4 years for the school to collect one million tabs. By that
time I was in the fourth grade and was stilll bringing them in. One
day I remember on the announcements they had said they collected one
million and then sometime in the next week we had an assembly. There
we dumped out all the one million tabs and presented the check to
the research fund.It was really something that had an impact on me
and I still think about today...6 years later. I thought the story
was a good example of someone...everyone...a school.. all working
together to pay it forward and possibly improve someone else's life.
