Individuals Paying It Forward
First off, I'd like to say that this is one of the best movies I'd seen in a long time and I tried to mention it to everyone I knew. I've always believed in this theory and to see it put into action, film and foundation is such a pleasant surprise.

I am a very spiritual person but don't agree with organized religion so instead of attending or contributing to a church per se, every Sunday I take a flower arrangement to a local retirement home with one comment/instruction only.....please give this to someone who needs a smile today. At first they looked at me like I was crazy or they just didn't understand that someone would do this without leaving their name or any intention other than knowing it made someone smile. It hardly cost me anything as I would look for "clearance" priced vases every time I was shopping or at a flea market. You'd be surprised what I got for a few dollars. Then on Sundays I would go the local food market and buy a bunch of whatever flowers they had discounted at that time. They would always throw in a bunch of greens and ferns for me too if I requested it. I'd take them home and pull out one of my vases to make a flower arrangement and then drop it off at one of the local retirement homes. I never gave my name and as I said before had to explain my intentions most of time initially but then after 2-3 visits they knew why I was there and many of them would refer to me as their Sunday "angel" or the "flower lady". It always makes me feel good just knowing such a simple gesture like this could change someone's day or just make them smile because someone cared.

I never knew there even was a PIF Foundation till I saw it come up as a "cookie" today on the web. I don't have a lot of money but if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know.

Linda
